What I Want

First, let's get rid of any and all confusion here. What you are about to read will, no doubt, be completely and utterly about the physical side of things. (Don't worry, there's no need for Parental Guidance!) So if you were hoping for something deeply profound, spiritual or revelational, you're probably not going to find it here.

Secondly, it is very likely that the girls are going to be the ones nodding their heads in agreement and giggling with me on this one, because you know where I'm coming from. Guys, I won't be offended if you skip past this post; I'm writing this for me!

I'm still single, so I have the privilege of scrutinizing the whole menu, staring at the mouth watering dishes that I like. So I've compiled a little buffet menu of my own, picking and choosing the things I reckon I would most enjoy. Here it is: The things I'd like in a man:

  1. The "walking away" is very important. He's got to wear his jeans the way Kiefer Sutherland does: snug and delicious.
  2. A t-shirt needs to hug him the way Dominic Purcell (Linc from Prisonbreak) has seemed to convince his t-shirt to do: focusing all it's attention on those upper arms.
  3. Kissability thermometers should become a standard measuring instrument, and once it does, I'd like to try it out on Matt Damon...no wait...Jensen Ackles...or, hang on, Michael Shanks, yes! Okay, so you get the point: I'm putting an APB out on these three lips for now.
  4. When it comes to eyes, I prefer a naughty glint above smouldering passion. I've already found the naughty ones: it has to be Jensen's.
  5. Hands tend to catch my eye almost immediately, so I've decided that it's worth being REALLY maticulous about. So I've made up my mind about Michael Shank's hands. It works for me.
  6. And Mr Shanks also has the geeky sexiness going for him when portraying Dr Daniel Jackson on Stargate. It gets me everytime without fail. Those glasses...
  7. Sometimes subtle hints of things are more important than "in your face" truths. Take David Boreanaz for instance. The way he wears those button down shirts, revealing only a promise of what lies beneath. That, my dear friends, is what I want to stare at at close range.
  8. If ever I should buy an audio book one day, I would prefer Kiefer Sutherland or Kevin Max to read it to me. They could read the phonebook, for all I care, it'll still have the same effect...weak knees.
  9. When it comes to the little less physical things, I prefer a really good sense of humor, and I would like it to come in the Jensen Ackles and Michael Shanks package, please.
  10. Music is important to me. No, wait, apart from air, music is the other thing I breathe. I'd prefer it if he would play the drums, but if he looks like Christian Kane with his guitar in his hands, I'm willing to revise my preference.
  11. Every girl wants to feel safe, right? Jason Bourne. Need I say more? I suck at reading maps and directions, so Jason's got to be the man, because the way he reads a map makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

At this point, I'm going to take a breather (I think it's needed!). To be honest, this wasn't as easy as it might seem. There are countless dishes on that buffet table out there that could have easily made it onto my plate, but for now, this will have to do.

Giving You the Skinny on...

It might be the nature of me, but for some bizarre reason I'm always a bit slow to follow trends.

For instance, I only started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer long after it had already stopped airing; the same thing with Angel, Stargate and so many other things. The upside is, I get to watch the whole series non-stop...no week-long waiting periods for the next episode...or stressing through the summer hiatus after a cliffhanger season ending.

Anyway, a couple of years back I decided that a pair of skinny jeans might just be a very practical addition to my closet. Living in London as I did, it would be awesome to tuck the jeans into my boots, creating an extra layer of warmth on my skin and also stopping it from dragging through the mud and water!

I took my friend to the shops with me in search of the perfect skinny. She almost wet herself laughing. See...I don't have the perfect legs (very few people do, of course!)...and mine is a little bowlegged. I didn't buy a pair of skinnies that day.

A week ago I decided to try my luck again. The first pair I tried on fit me like a glove! And it was cheap....AND, I was in a real grumpy mood that day (I don't really like shopping all that much, because as luck would have it, I never find what I'm looking for), so for a pair of jeans to lift my spirits immediately, it HAD to be a magic pair. Ha-ha!

Anyway, now I have the perfect pair of skinny jeans...and my bowlegs look nearly perfect in them!
