Black Lights & Rights

The BlackLight Project was pretty cool! I enjoyed it so much, and the testimonies of everyone involved will make me smile for a long time to come. There were a few things that I would have wanted differently (or absent), but all in all, it was a success and I can definitely see us doing something like this again in the near future.

Most of you know that I have a 20 year old VW CitiGolf and I decided to call her Max. Naming her is not what this post is about, though (I'll tell you about the naming process of my equipment in a different post). She's pretty powerful and very reliable, but she has a couple of hiccups. Airconditioning for one...she doesn't have any! And the fan packed up a long time ago, so driving around in the heat of Summer requires me to open my window fully, otherwise I'd drown in my own sweat.

It doesn't bug me. What bugs me is the fact that beggars and peddlers see this as an invitation to come and harass me. Do I not have the right to drive around in my car, my windows open, without fear of my space being invaded every time I stop at a red light? It saddens me, because it's not that I lack sympathy for people who has no other choice but to beg or sell things on the street to survive, but is it too much to ask to leave me alone? I will wave you over if I want to buy something (which I have done in the past), but if I'm not interested, don't think you can stare me down until I give in.

Let's end my ramblings with something different. I started watching the fifth season of Supernatural and it brings all the action, suspense, emotion and comedy from the previous seasons as well as the added mystery of: "Where are they going to go with the whole Angel / Demon / God storyline?" It would definitely be interesting to see.

I'm just glad the Winchester Brothers are gracing my screen with their hunky, delicious presence again!

Love ya'll!

Camp Out And Flip It

So, it's strange how all the fun stuff starts happening in my life. I remember moaning about not having a social life...shoulda kept my mouth shut! Ha-ha! No, I'm really loving the direction my life is going...hmmm, just need to get me a nice job now!

Okay, here's a bit of an update. Our Young Adults at church had a camp this past weekend, and it was totally fun and relaxing. I laughed so much, I almost wept; the setting was perfectly beautiful, and I had some great chats with friends, God and myself. We should do this more often!

Last night I was privileged enough to see Flip A Coin live (and for FREE). Amazing, vibrant, energetic and perfect. Check them out www.flipacoin.co.za it's worth it!

This coming Sunday is D-day for the BlackLight Project. I'm so excited! We're having a semi-dress rehearsal tonight, so I'm waiting in anticipation to see what everything will look like.

See ya'll later!
